My packing experiences can be summed up in one word...stressful. I've been making lists for more than two weeks; the first list was a shopping list of things I needed to purchase before the trip and the second list was a list of what actually needed to be packed. Then I revised the packing list to avoid over-packing. Then I revised the new list because I forgot several important items such as medications. I know that I am probably overthinking with the lists, but I have always had a tendency to forget simple items like a toothbrush or hair tie. Yesterday night I began laying out items on my dresser which I will not need over the next few days. I've also laid out clothing that I plan to bring and I've been adding or taking away from the pile as I change my mind. My biggest fear is actually under-packing rather than over-packing, but I'm sure it will all work out in the end.
