University Rehabilitation Institute of the Republic of Slovenia- Last Site of the Day

The last site of the day was at the University Rehabilitation Institute of the Republic of Slovenia. We watched a movie that explained the advances in research they have achieved at the center and the many services they provide to the people of Slovenia. The most interesting part of the tour was the “IRIS Home” demonstrations. One of the engineers showed us how it works and how it helps people who are handicapped. I had never seen anything like this before, and it is amazing how advanced this center is in helping those who are handicapped. It is important for people to never feel like they are helpless, and this system is a great asset to anyone who is able to use it.
