Site 3: Rehabilitation Institute

The third site we visited today was the University Rehabilitation Institute of the Republic of Slovenia. This site was very interesting. We started off watching a video of what they are all about, and then got to see the Smart House room, the research room, and one of the wards. Each place was very interesting and there was a lot to learn from each person from each room/department. The Smart House room was very cool to see, because we got to look at the many different types of adaptations that can be made for a person with a special need to live and function daily (First 3 pictures).  The research room had a lot of interesting technology and robots that they were creating and using to help those who have suffered from strokes. In the ward, we got to see an occupational therapy room with a lot of different types of equipment that can be used to help the patients (Last 2 pictures).  This site was very interesting overall.
